This year, volunteers will be asked to put items in separate bags so they can be recycled where possible. Please bring a drink with you if the forecast is for warm weather. Volunteers are asked to wear weather appropriate clothing, gloves and sturdy, waterproof footwear to events, as some ground may be uneven or wet. Litter picking equipment will be supplied on the day and a safety talk will be given. Litter picks have been organised at ten locations across the borough, including Fairwater Shops, in Cwmbran the ravine in West Talywain and Garn Lakes, in Blaenavon. This year’s annual Torfaen Spring Clean will start on Monday and run for nearly two weeks.
